Exploring A Coruña: Day 08 Meaningful Moment A Coruña was such an interesting city. So much bigger and lively than I expected. Had a great time here, but looking forward to the quietness and solitude of the albergue at Ribadiso.  This time tomorrow we will have our first first work day tending to pilgrims complete. Exploring A Coruña: Day 07 Meaningful Moment Took some time out to read parts of my granddaughter's letters to me. Gave me a nice feeling of being at home while still here in Spain. Part of the reason we chose A Coruña was to enjoy its oceanside location. The weather looked iffy at the start of the day, but it turned really nice and perfect to take an up to the knees dip in the Atlantic. León to A Coruña: Day 06 Meaningful Moment It was a long travel day. In fact, much longer than I expected. I knew it was a 5-hour bus ride, with a transfer in Ponferrada, but I did not factor in the time before and after. So from waking up in León to checking into the hotel in A Coruña, the travel day was 8 hours, starting at 4:45 a.m. Despite being able to get several hours of sleep on the bus, it was, of course not the most comfortable. Exploring León: Day 05 Meaningful Moment Today, Deb and I did not really do a major activity, but we took three or four individual walks around the city just to accomplish minor things, for example, buy a pastry, find a statue, get some medicine, enjoy a park or just get out for a tinto verano and an agua con gas.
