Paseo Marítimo

An expansive seaside promenade stretching over 13 kilometers, that perfectly wraps around the city, with unbelievable views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Calle Real (Royal Street)

The famous pedestrian avenue in the heart of the city, spanning about 300 meters. It is a bustling hub for shopping and dining, with many beautiful historic buildings and glass-fronted galleries

The Tower of Hercules (Torre de Hércules) 

The stunning 55-meter-tall structure is an ancient Roman lighthouse which stands as the oldest fully operational lighthouse in the world. Built in the late 1st or early 2nd century AD,  legend claims that the mythical hero Hercules built the tower after defeating the giant tyrant Geryon, burying the giant's head beneath its foundations.

Praia de Riazor:

Famous, clean, gold-sand city beach with a beautiful walking path.

Praia do Orzán

Very popular with surfers with strong waves and is a great spot to watch the water.

MEGA

Mundo Estrella Galicia is the first and only museum in Spain, dedicated to the culture of beer, and is located within the functioning brewery for Estrella beer. Four floors, totaling 3,000 meters square, give the visitor the experience of combined history, education and enjoyment of beer.

Plaza de María Pita 

The main city square is famous for its grand 19th-century architecture, the striking City Hall (Palacio Municipal), and a bronze statue of local heroine María Pita,

In the center of the square stands a monument of María Pita holding a spear, honoring the day she rallied the city to defeat the English Armada.

Parque de Santa Margarita 

An approximate 50,000 square-meter public park with verdant groves, family amenities, and the Casa de las Ciencias science museum. 

• Casa de las Ciencias is an interactive science museum and planetarium housed in a historic palace at the park's highest point.
• The Amphitheater is an open-air venue that hosts cultural events, concerts, and local festivals during the summer.
• Botanical Diversity: Home to over 70 species of trees, including towering eucalyptus, pines, and dynamic ornamental flora.
• Has a network of walking, hiking and bike paths.

Mercado de San Agustín

The historic municipal market located in the old town is famous for its architectural parabolic concrete roof and its exceptional selection of fresh Galician seafood, meats, and local produce. The ground floor is a paradise for fresh Atlantic seafood like Galician octopus, velvet crabs, and barnacles, while upper areas host traditional stalls for local cheeses, empanadas, meats, and flowers. The market frequently hosts the Mercado das Nubes, a popular indoor weekend market showcasing local independent brands, crafts, and food trucks. 

Monte de San Pedro 

The dramatic hilltop park and former military fortress located 2 kilometers northwest of the city rises 142 meters above sea level, and offers the absolute best panoramic views of the city, the Atlantic Ocean, and the ancient Tower of Hercules.

The Panoramic Elevator (aka Ascensor Panorámico) takes visitors 63 meters up the steep hillside from and is a awe-inspiring way to reach the summit. 
The park features two massive English-made cannons. Over 17 meters long, they were capable of firing one-ton projectiles up to 38 kilometers away to protect the coast.

Castillo de San Antón 

A16th-century sea fortress, 0riginally built on a small island in the bay, defends the city against naval attacks, and is now the home of the city's Archaeological and Historical Museum. Walking the high stone ramparts offers exceptional, panoramic views of the A Coruña bay, the busy harbor, and the Atlantic coastline.
